New guy here...

Just installed my RE8s a few days ago... very impressive for 8" subs.

My second ported box I've made. 1.05 ft^3 tuned to ~32hz

Fed by a MTX RT2600 at 4ohms.

Nice setup in the truck... in a regular cab pick up, 2 8's are all you need

My guess is his are older than yours. You have the ones with the chromed top and back plate? That started on this run of RE8's the first few had the powder coated look.

goinpro whats your handle over at FTW?

My amp puts out around 600w at 4ohms but I have the gains set pretty low.

These RE8s are the '03 models and are 2ohm SVC, the new '04s have the chrome back plate and are 4ohm DVC.

These subs sound great! Good SQ and respectable output for 8s. Most people I've shown can't believe they are 8s... I woulda went with 10s or with 4 8s but there is only so much space in a reg. cab truck.
