I bought these off HeatSeeker this last week from here, pictures on post #5:

.....and sure enough a few days later I come across a local deal for some JL 8w1's and a PPI art ax400 that I couldnt pass up. As much as I've dreamed of using these mids since they came out in 2005, I need 4 ohm mids now and the 8's are going in. So these will need a new loving home. I'm just looking to get back what I have invested in them.

They are the 2 ohm XBL^2 versions. Better than the new neo motor ones from the reviews I've read. These have AMAZING midbass as well as exceptionally good upper midrange. Even if you're running a 2 way setup, these will hit every note with authority and clarity. It's a shame I won't be using them, but I have an itch to put 8's in my doors lol.

Could I just use any component tweeters and crossovers wit the mids?

most crossovers do only a lfp with the woofer and a hfp cut off for the tweet. iirc cdt satnet pasives are full range for the woofer and let it "roll off naturally" at the upper end (2-4khz ish). however this being a 2 ohm woofer that takes alot of power, you'd want a passive designed for a 2 ohm speaker and can take some power. i think ID makes a passive for some beefy mids that come in 2 ohm option. part of the chameleon set iirc.
