RE SX vs Kicker L7 :p

had 2 of them in my trunk and were louder than my friends 2 15" L7's in his hatch.

two different cars, two different installs....so no real arguement ^^^

Sure SQ is install, but for REAL SQ, keep it under 1000 watts then.....if you want to make a SQ system off WalMart woofers, go for it....THEN you can come back and offer REAL advise on how they performed for YOU. But to 99.9% of the rest of us, we could have variant outcomes.

so you're denying the fact that SX's sound have more quality sound than l7's when both are in ideal conditions? and your also denying that L7's have been proven to get loud in SPL setups?
No actually I am saying that L7's can sound better imo, and SX's could possibly be louder off the same power, but the L7's will definately handle more power and handle it better than the sx's guaranteed. That is of coarse, if you know what you are doing, which you obviously do not.

I can guarantee that the SX's will start getting smelly at ~1400wrms, so imo they cant handle anything beyond 1400. The L7's on the other hand can laugh at anything under 1500wrms, imo

But who honestly cares when both woofers will handle around the same amount of power. If I were going for loud street beat it would be a toss up, honestly, I would buy whichever is cheaper at the time and be satisfied with the money I saved. Sq on the other hand and I would prefer the L7,

NO ONE ON HERE CAN HONESTLY SAY THE SX IS NEAR AN SQ/SQL Woofer, it is nothing more than a daily street beater that is meant to get loud off the power its rated at. It was never meant to be an sq sub, but in any install you can make almost anything sound good.

walmart woofers?

EITHER can get loud, or have SQ depending on INSTALL...why people can't figure that out is beyond me. But comparing woofer to woofer, it's the common thing to say "what i have heard" over actual testing. People don't want to test anymore. they want to come on a website, get info from somebody they have NEVER met, nor ever will, and assume it as gospel. But those they just took advice from, probably NEVER tested them either, they heard it last week....it's a vicious circle.
People, SQ is a SQ system, SPL, is a SPL system. have 3000 watts adn a 6 cu ft box, YOU ARE NOT LOOKING FOR SQ.

then you have to factor in, what sounds good to me, may not to you...so who's right and who's wrong? On the internet, it's always the other guy.....right?
this is probly the best gathering of words i've ever seen on the internet

I won a couple of local shows with L7's.

If you know what the F you are doing a complete Kicker system can sound as good as anything 98% of the people on this board can put together.

RE SX for sure, they can handle 1500-1700W RMS daily and lastL7 dont have the greatest SQ and they have a very poor build quality
Are you joking me?
