Going from my 13.5 W6V2's to..?

So I have two 13.5 w6v2's off a 1000/1 v2 right now. Im tempted to sell em and trying one 13w7 for now, ultimately getting another 1000/1 and 13w7.

But, I'm starting to doubt this plan, as its expensive and I keep reading there are better options.

I was thinking two 12 or 15 FI Q's. Anyone have experience with the Q's and w7's? Will the w6 to Fi Q be a noticeable difference?

I just wish I could demo the Q's first dangit. I'm tempted to just buy em on credit and return if I dont like em.

A lot is giong to depend on the install. Many people don't like the sound of the W7s because they are VERY bottom heavy. They need a really solid midbass up front to blend them into the fornt stage.

What don't you like about your current setup? Not loud enough? To get a noticable difference between the W6v2 and a Q you'll need a lot more power. The W6s will probably be louder with the power that you have just because of efficiency. If you're talking about a SQ difference, don't count on there being a marked improvement or any at all.

Seeing this comparison alot, and seeing so many people chose the Q, even when comparing a similar price (not here), is surprising. The W7 displays less distortion (bl optimized) and has superior displacement potential. The Q's only saving grace is its price. The Q is a better value sub (imo) but the W7 is clearly a technically superior speaker.

im getting ready to run 2 of the new tw5s. hearing one it was far better than the w6 or w7 to my ears at least. i know some others who feel the same way. and the thing is only 2.5" thick

I'd probably keep the w6v2's... What kind of box are you running and what are you looking for? The Q is a pretty bottom heavy woofer also.

I wouldnt swap from the W6s to Qs. Im sure most people would just pick the Qs in the first place due to price..but if you already got W6s dont waste money swapping to an equivalent/less loud sub. Throw more power on your subs, new enclosure, and more testing!
