I saw that, I was wondering if you had anything more technical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

An SPL score and price alone is not much to label something a "$1000 POS"...

You make it seem that the SX is strictly for spl...
why did you quote your useless first post in this thread?
when compared to the jl it is, as someone stated earlyer the sensitivity on the sx is higher it is 90.4, but it couldnt keep up with the extream spl subs;)

no numbers but the setups that i've heard between the sx and the w7, both were 12s and the sx was louder by ear...

i just don't like JL for the simple fact if you took what you spent on your all JL system, 1000/1 and 2 w7's... imagine what you COULD have bought with that money.... just a for instance, 2 sdc2.5' 15's and an aq2200 plus extra battery, probably come in around the same cost as 1000/1 and 1 W7 and walk all over it

OP: ghey question, db's arent all about subs, more about install.

SX is more likely to do better, but so what. My friend does 149.7db at the headrest (152 in the kick) of his tahoe with 4 w3v3's and 2400wrms. JL CAN GET LOUD! ANYTHING CAN GET LOUD!

just gotta know what ur doing

The new lines from RE are just china junk these days. If you were going to buy an SX, buy an older one with a recone on it. Recones are cheap for these subs, and they take a shit ton of abuse. Currently this is what I have in my wall right now, two RE SX 18's with recones on them. I like them better than my RD SHW 18's I had, they don't take near as much power to get them loud. For example, I did a 150.x the other day at a SPL competition with a freakn' Autotek MM1400 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Only the bottom 3 RE lines are made in china. I own 2 ses(new *** model)they have been taking 1k each for 6 months no problem. I just pulled them out the other day. No visible physical dammage on the vc, tinsels, or terminals. Not bad for a sub taking almost double it's rated power. I don't see how it can be considered "junk" but that's just me
