RE SX vs JL 13w7

dont know much about the RE subs but a guy i was friends with has two 10w7s and he was pushin mid 140s(143-145) i believe in an extended cab silverado. but then again there is more surface area with two 10s. and like said by others it also depends on enclosure, and many other aspects. if any of that helps.

Listen to what people are telling you fool! They said there are way too many variables, which is true. It depends on box size, vehicle acoustics, impedance, etc.

You could probably get more db's from a SDC2.5 15 than a 13W7. There's a youtube vid with a guy saying his SDC was louder than his 12W7. I own a 12W7 right now, so I'm not hating. I've just used and heard a lot of subs. JL does not ****. It's just not built to hang with hand built subs like Fi as far as spl goes. I hope JL does decide to build a real SPL sub one day.

Ok so maybe I said it wrong, but so what! You know what I meant! You guys finds a few rare examples where someone hit a good number and assume everyone else can get the same numbers on the meter. I don't know why people keep trying to make a sub do what it wasn't designed for? Maybe because it looks like a SPL monster? The OP has to decide for himself, no matter what we say. I've had 2 W7's and they did exactly what I expected them to do. I didn't buy them with the intention that I would hopefully beat dudes with L7, Fi, HCCA, IA, AQ and RE in loudness.

imma have to agree. i HATE jl tho. but i will admit you buy something with intentions of knowing what its gonna do for u. your not gonna buy a hummer and plan to drag race in it. so in other words u buy a jl w7 (i personally never will) if u want a very good sq and musical sub and a sx if you dont want to go bankrupt and want to be loud. PERIOD.
