How do you like your Re SX sub? I just bought a brand new 15" SX for $132.. I have never owned a 15" sub and have never owned any non mainstream subs like RE.. Just was wondering exactly how much power I should give it and do I need to go through a break in process or not... Also did I get a decent deal on this sub? I also need a box design but I will post that in the enclosure thread.. I do have lots a room for a good big ported box.. Going in the rear of my Caravan.. Any way..if you have any info, suggestions, or comments please post em up...Thanks guys...Joe

as far as power, i wouldnt go more then 1500 for daily. and you got a great deal on that sub, i think used they go for around $200. subs dont really need break-in, just play em.

Drivers will naturally "break in" over time on their own.

Just play it like you normally would.

I've also read that this sub is pretty efficient, so around 1000 watts, give or take a hundred or so watts, should be ok.

1) great price. they used to be $289 a piece for the 15's when RE was still selling direct (before the big price hike)

2) they are good subs IMO. not the best but a nice street beater i would say

3) i had 2 15's on 2500w, they handled it just fine. i would say anywhere from 1-1.5kw should do you good

yea that was a great deal..authorized dealers sell them for around 500 now..thats at least what my dealer tried sellin it to me for..anyways i love mine..1 have a 15 also...i give mine 1400 watts and it prob could take more...but that prob bc of my enclosure....btw there was a sig difference when i switched from a standard ported box @ 32hz to a chambered t-line @ 35 hz...about 3 dbs and much clearer..just an idea for installation

i like mine alot.its in a box with 4 cubes tuned to 32 hz.sounds aewsome.especially on the lows.daily power i would go 1200-1500 watts daily
