Re Se or Soundstream T4 or aq?

Wow, I thought they were more expensive than that.
I've never owned an Audioque sub, man. I personally have no idea what they sound like in reality. I made that comment based on what I've read about the company. They seem to put out very reliable equipment, and I'm shocked that the SDC's are so cheap...
Yeah the SDC's are the lowest they have. To be honest if I had the cash I'd buy a Heavy Duty 15, but those bastards are like $280.

If anyone wants to pop in and say "hey SGD, I've heard them and I guarantee you an SDC15 is just as loud as that T4 but sounds better" then I'll get that instead.

Like I said in my own thread, space constraints have left me either going for 2 12's sealed or one 15 ported and I'd rather do the latter, so hey.

well sdc2.5 get loud also, but they are not made for sealed enclosures, how much power do u have? Sdc2.5 can take 800 watts, maybe 900 if u know what u r doing, but any more than that they wont last long.

I'll get the power I need, frankly. If it needs 1000W I'll get the amp necessary, but I literally cannot squeeze 2 ported 12's into my hatch unless I want to make the thing crazy tall.

Now if you're talking the single 15, throwing 800W at it is no problem. I can get whatever amp that thing will need. After all I was looking at the RE *** and that's only asking for 600 as well.

well since u have a hatchback output shouldnt be a problem. All of them are great drivers. Se=159 shipped, T4=179 shipped, sdc2.5=184 shipped. But both the t4 and sdc2.5 require larger boxes so i would go with the se.

Doing some number crunching I can get a 3.9cu box with a big fat vent tuned to 33Hz in there and have plenty of space left. It was trying to get 4.25cu as net BEFORE displacement that would have been a nightmare. Now it looks like I can pick up a JBL 1200.1 for cheap cheap, so with that kinda power in my pocket I might as well go with the T4.

If I can snag the JBL (and if I'm sure it's worth it), I think I will. That's amp and sub for barely over $300, since I doubt he'll sell it to me for the opening bid.

Haha I feel kinda bad but it was moving a lot more than mine and he and I were looking at the same subs, so I figured I could kinda leech on and take some of the help.

I hope I didn't screw anything up for him, LOL. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Keep in mind RMS rating doesn't indicate quality. Or even power, for that matter. An efficient sub can slam off 600 watts louder than a poorly made sub rated to eat up 1200.

true that, but what im saying is, there about the same price, and the same ratings. which is gonna give the clarity and still get loud without distortion and missing a beat?

Just for the record, the SDC is $160, the *** is about $230. So it's more like a $70 difference for a 15. Unless you can find the *** for a lot cheaper. Might make a difference in your decision.
