Re Se or Soundstream T4 or aq?

ya there dual 2, thats what i thought so i wanted to make sure, cuz if there 600 rms each, 1200 peak each, that gives me 2400 watts, so in a sense i wanna give em around 2000, but at 1 ohm
and i need to sell my current system before i do anything,
Peak watts??! Your not going to magically get more watts from some where. Your watts are measured by rms.

I hope you don't mean you'd be throwing 1000RMS at each, 'cause that sounds like a recipe for disaster.
It has been done before. If he's using 1000rms a piece, he should run 1000rms subs. I'm not sure he has the know how on how to do that well.

Well that's what I mean. Throwing 1000RMS at a pair of subs rated at 600RMS is pretty **** suicidal. I mean, I've heard that RE subs are underrated, but I can't imagine by THAT much.

If he's got 1000RMS per sub to work with, I'd say get those T5's, those actually ARE rated at 1000RMS.

Dude if they're rated at 600RMS, give them an amp that pushes 600RMS. If you want to throw 1000RMS at a sub, get something rated at 1000RMS. There's a reason the manufacturer picks those numbers. Get a 1200-watt amp, not 2000, not 1800, not 1500. Match your subs and amp.

Yeah some guys who REALLY know what they're doing can get away with overpowering, but it's like overclocking your PC. It can work great if you're a pro, but if you fvck it up you just wasted $1000.

Not really, I've thought about it. Alot of sq systems have alot of overheard.

well thats what im sayin, the amp i found with em is a 1500 watt autotek and i think thatll power em fine

after reading and hearing what people on here have to say i think between the 3 re is the only way to go.

and ya the co. pick those numbers for a reason, but ive also had a jl 1000/1 to my jl w3 which is only rated at 300 rms and 600 peak, and it was fine.

Yeah I'd say 750 can't be too bad so long as you're careful with the gains, but I knew someone that blasted a pair of L7s by having each one hooked up to some amp that pushed like 1500RMS. One road trip later he smelled them cooking and then... pop.

true true, im pretty careful about how i set my ish tho.

im just looking around you know, not looking to kill em obviously, but trying to see what i can get from em without fukin em up so i think ill stick with the 1500 watt and call it a day

lol. we'll see how it goes. ive been on here all week tring to get input and i think i found what im getting. so once i do ill for sure get some pics and vids up.

wtf is johnstown, im drawing a blank. i live in lancaster, but i cant think of where johnstown is
