Re Se or Soundstream T4 or aq?

Dude, you can't form an opinion by watching a youtube video. Any large subwoofer that handles decent power can make sheet metal flex. That doesn't mean it sounds good while it's doing it, though.

You say you're sheltered by JL Audio? If so, I think RE will blow your f*cking mind. Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, JL can't hold RE's jock.

RE SE > JL W3

RE SX > JL W6

RE XXX > JL W7

And it's not just RE. There are dozens of audio companies out there that JL can't touch. Fi, Image Dynamics, DC, Ascendant, DD, RD, etc. The list goes on and on. JL Audio is the Nike of the car audio world, man. People buy it because it's the name they've heard of. Nothing more, nothing less...

^ exactly why i ended up with it. thats what im saying is all. i want out of the jl world.

speaking of the shoes thing, used to be the same way. i hate spending more than 40 bux on shoes. like every 6 months.

If you want something that can flex the piss out of your sheet metal AND sound good while it's doing it, hit up the classifieds and buy one of the RE XXX 12"s that're for sale. You can bet your bottom dollar that your friend's RF's can't touch it, and some of the prices are more than reasonable...

At this point, I've gotta ask; Do you have components in mind? What about amps? Are you planning to throw 1,500 - 2,000 watts of bass into your vehicle with no sound deadener? What about your wiring? Do you have the available space in your trunk/hatch to accomodate a pair of good subs? Do you have a ho alternator and a nice battery?

yes i have jl comps. ive already got it dynamatted and i have the room. brand new alt. and battery are already put in. and ive got a pretty big trunk for the car. so ive thought it thru, im just upgrading my subs, everything else is straight

ya basically because i got it all taken care of but the subs. i went with the boom first, then did the rest so thats all ok

and its cool man, uve deff been a big help with all of it

lol well im looking at the ***. i was looking at t4s, but after some research, i dont think theyll be good enough for what im looking for. im thinking about this deal i found with 2 *** a autotek mm1-1500d amp and new wiring for 490 shipped. but i wanna make sure the sexs can be run at 1 ohm so they get really loud

Well the ***'s are dual 2 right? So I can't imagine they COULDN'T handle a 1ohm load. RE's not a stupid company, I'd be surprised if they made those things unable to hold that.

FYI, you can get a pair of T5 15's for less than $400 shipped brand new ($194.50 each) for another five hours on eBay. I've been watching it, but don't have the cash on hand.

ya there dual 2, thats what i thought so i wanted to make sure, cuz if there 600 rms each, 1200 peak each, that gives me 2400 watts, so in a sense i wanna give em around 2000, but at 1 ohm

and i need to sell my current system before i do anything,

The Re sx would be more up your line if your wanting a loud sub that sounds good. You have to run it ported, but ported is good. The *** is a play on the popular reconed se with sx parts, it's really just the new se. The ohm that a speaker can be run at doesn't matter. You match your speakers to your amp. 1000 watts at 2ohm is the same as 1000 watts as 1 ohm, besides that the 1000 at 2ohm is easier on your electrical. Typically higher ohm speakers are more sensitive. Have you considered running 1 really nice sub ported? Either a 12 or a 15.

Decide your priorities and shop from there.
