R's are the loudest sub that you'll find new for the money, hands down.

I had two 12" Type R's in 4 cubes tuned to 35Hz. Sounded good turned down but when I even somewhat cranked them, they sounded very muddy. I guess it is just preference. All I know is that my Nightshade made them look like pieces of crap....

The R sound pretty good, being spl sub at cheap price... The jump from those to a 18' Q wasn't as big as I expected...
