RE SE 12s or 15s

Thinking of picking up two of the 12s or the 15s... hard time deciding which though. I have an MTX 7801 (rated 1200w RMS @ 1ohm, benched 1825) that will power them. I will be going sealed... in a 97 camry. Thoughts, suggestions? I think tis the same motor on both of them, I've never had fifteens so I'm curious what the main differences will be...

Good question, but how is your amp benched so high? I had the older 1501d's and they were rated at 1500rms and benched at 1700 something sometime ago. I even had them modded to get over 2000rms a piece as I had two of them and they were both around the same bench mark.

if you have the volume to run 2 15s than run 2 15s, if you don't run 2 12s. only run what you the volume to run. 2 12s in ideal volume will always sound better than 2 15s without enough volume.

I think I have room for 2 15s sealed... I'm thinking of having them fire the rear like my shitty pioneers do right now. These pioneers actually get pretty loud for the entry level subs they are. Got them for like 80 bucks off someone for the pair.

1501D's are pretty old now, but seems these are wayyyyyy underrated for some reason. I have heard of a few hundered watts, but 600 plus underrated? Shit is crazy!

I use to have those Pioneer subs. What are they the 205 series?

If you have that amp doing that kind of power, why not a couple of Pioneer Championship series Pros? 1000rms each and would slam off that amp, but they do like ported boxes, but looks like you would have the room for them. Don't require a huge ported box.

Friend has two of those offf 2000rms Mmats amp and doing right at 149 off TL.........is in an envoy though, which the accoustics are a lot better.

It's a thought... I just wanted to try something else. The pioneers lack a little on the 50-70hz range...
