I just ordered the re audio sxx 15 and i was wondering if it would be a good spl sub in a 4.17776 cubic feet box tuned to 30 hertz

Well, why did you order first and then come here looking for help/reassurance? Kinda backwards. You could have done better for what you paid. Many people say RE is only decent nowadays.

i would say the new stuff is sub par compared to the older, for example i have a pair of older SE's and put them against the new se-x that a buddy has. sound roughly the same on same power but one randomly blew up during the testing. so i would say the build quailty of the new soft parts is not that great.

sxx must not be that bad... made in usa. My friend have an old se and it's impressive for a china sub.
