IIRC the 1606 is a single channel, it's not internally bridged with two inputs.

What's the model number of your amplifier, OP?

not understanding how to wire them i get, but not knowing dvc? i mean c'mon

you should have said, "dual voice coil". Maybe it would be easier to understand for people just getting into CA

OP, i don't want to read the whole thread.

Are you trying to wire 2, 4 ohm subs to a mono amp for a 1 ohm load?

You have a 1606 don't you have 2 places where you can bring ur cable from the amp to the sub. Each having a positive and negative terminal for a total of four termonals on the amp?

Connect both of the positives to one positive amp terminal, and the same for the negatives

I use the far outer ones. Does this make sense?

On your subs, you have 2 positives and 2 negatives. You need to put both the positives together and stick them in one of the positive amp terminals.

After that, stick both sub negatives together and stick them in on of the negative amp terminals.

I would use the outer positive/negative amp terminals, but you don't have to.
