re audio sr vs srx

I'm looking into getting some 12 inch re audio srx's but i see that some people think the older model sr's are better. Is this true? I have looked and the specs for both the subs are identical so i dont know what to think.

P.s. any woofer you think would be better (around this price) please let me know.

Would the fi audio x handle more power than it is rated for? I have a vibe 268 amp which is supposed to put out 1000w rms (i know this isnt true) but i was wondering if two of these fi X subs would be able to handle this amp. Any reply is appreciated

the FI X should take more but dont have any experiance with them. but yeah just watch ur gains and u should be ok
