RE Audio entering Walmart

Walmart online is similar to Amazon now. You can buy almost anything through outside vendors.

As far as local stores, RE and a few others have been in negotiations for a while about making that move. It won't surprise me at all if they end up with an "audio department" with in the next year or two. I don't see installs, but I do see "tech support" if you want to call it that.

Imagine the walmart in China, american company (re Audio) builds in China ships to the US and ships back to China to sell in Walmart and Chinese buys them as imports with higher price tag. Irony

I believe that car audio forums would implode if Sundown began to be sold at Walmart.

I see nothing wrong with companies selling their products in Walmart. Just because Walmart sells garbage doesn't mean everything they carry is now automatically garbage. It's almost like some of you guys forget that these companies are in this to make money. They're not here to please your every want and need. They run businesses. Getting their product into walmart is a great move financially. More exposure, more sales, etc.

Lol, Wal-mart audio "tech support". I wonder what geniuses they will hire to tell you how to set your car on fire.

I think so too. They also carry DB Drive stuff online too or at least they used to at walmart.com I just don't think that becasue something is sold at Walmart that it's automatically garbage. They carry different types of televisions as well. From low end to higher end. Food from lower end to higher end. Toiletries from lower end to higher end. So what? It's the biggest retail store in the US and if some company is lucky enough to sell their audio out of it they're probably going to make a lot of money. Nothing wrong with that. Me being a capitalist and all...
