RE Audio authenticity???

I have not heard anything solid one way or the other yet. But making a switch to outsourcing an entire product line (or maybe all of the RE products, IDK) would certainly raise questions with anyone IMO. I certainly hope they are as good now as the hype that I have heard about RE seeing as I just bought 2 of them.

Its the same design. The only things realistically that could change would be the raw materials being used, and/or the assembly procedure/quality. Ive not heard bad things about either of these aspects since RE moved production to China.
Don't get me wrong however, Id chose an American made product over a foreign one, given the chance.

Well that is quite a bit of potential change. I also heard from a dealer that since the buyout, they have seen some issues with RE. However, from the kist I got, it didn't seem product related, seemed more of issues on the business side of things; but there are always 2 sides to every story.

Anyway, I just hope they sound as good as what I have heard, regardless of where they are made.

Potential means there is also a potential for improvement. Are you willing to accept that possibility also, or just the negative one?
Again, nothing Ive heard/read/seen has indicated the Chinese versions have suffered any of the above mentioned 'potential' problems. Might as well worry you will be struck by lightning while grabbing the package off your front porch when its delivered.
