I remember hearing they were made in china as far back as Finals 06... that's when I first saw the fancy boxes for Tommy's truck...

You make it sound like they are redesigned/engineered for every batch produced. As noted above, the sub was 'engineered' years ago, by Scott, which makes your comment a bit silly. Secondly, the comment was that they are MADE in China, not designed there. I understand you defending the product, being made in China doesn't necessarily mean its worse (or better) than the previous version made in Las Vegas, but your reasoning for the defense is totally flawed.

I have not heard anything solid one way or the other yet. But making a switch to outsourcing an entire product line (or maybe all of the RE products, IDK) would certainly raise questions with anyone IMO. I certainly hope they are as good now as the hype that I have heard about RE seeing as I just bought 2 of them.
