I think that all the ones that come in the pretty boxes are made in china, and the white plain cardboard ones are still made in house?Yessir. AFAIK.

You make it sound like they are redesigned/engineered for every batch produced. As noted above, the sub was 'engineered' years ago, by Scott, which makes your comment a bit silly. Secondly, the comment was that they are MADE in China, not designed there. I understand you defending the product, being made in China doesn't necessarily mean its worse (or better) than the previous version made in Las Vegas, but your reasoning for the defense is totally flawed.The se's are still designed and engineered in the usa. unlike the XT amps:verymad:
