RE Audio amps

I am looking to purchase some new amps, i am currently running one 5 channel digital amp by Alpine. I want to run 2 digital amps by RE Audio, first is the XT1600.2v3 bridged mono for my RE se 10 sub and secondly the XT800.4v3 for the the RE XXX 6.5 seperates up front and RE 5fr coax's in the rear. I am not familiar with their amps so any input would be appreciated. also if anyone has input about the XXX seperates, do they sound good?

Looking at the specifications, the amplifiers look somewhat weak, at least the subwoofer amp is nothing special. I would recommend to get the 2-channel PPI Phantom P600.2 amplifier for subwoofer duty if you need a compact amplifier to power a 4 ohm subwoofer. This one gives you clean 600watts with 14.4V battery, and 400watts with 12V battery. I am sure your subwoofer could use those extra watts. Sonicelectronix.com sells them for $159 right now. That's quite a bargain IMO. Another possibility is PPI Phantom P1000.1. It gives similar power at 4ohms, but you have the option to run a 2ohm subwoofer for future upgrades. These PPI Phantom amplifiers are considered to be good budget amplifiers. They had been tested and are known to provide their rated RMS power. I have no idea about RE amps because they aren't discussed often. Any reasons you're switching away from Alpine? Alpine recently updated many of its Class D amplifiers, including a new 5-channel and couple of 4-channel amps.
