Cleaning the copper faceplates on McIntosh amps

Asked McIntosh labs what I should use to clean the copper plate under the glass shield.

"We use windex" - The reply...

If they say so I guess. 0.O Does that seem ok to you guys?

Put the windex on a rag, don't spray it on the amp. Oh and I wouldn't question whether Mcintosh knows their stuff or not lol.

Personally, I'd use rubbing alcohol or acetone... I like the rapid evaporation.
