Rd Audio Amps?

I have seen alot about RD Audio on this forum and I read that the SH's are better than the APXX's. So I was wondering about their amps. Are they any good, meaning do they do rated power, are they reliable, etc.. Also where might I be able to find these amps? I am very interested in the 2200.1, the only thing is that it is fused at 120A, unless it has more fuses internal, so I do not see how it can do 2200RMS. Also if anyone has exp. with these amps let me know, such as bench tests, or pics of amp guts would be appreciated. Just any info on these amps because I know Atomic put out a good product and RD Audio appears pretty similiar just upgraded.

HI there,

on the note of the amps, there has been lots of talk abt this being diff and blah blah,

but its simply the same stuff with different wording from the same build house. There are people who know who the build house is and have seen its website (they recently password protected the website). those who have seen the website will tell u its the same thing.

SO, in my opinion, be it Atomic or RD audio, expect the see similiar results. my opinion is to go with who u are comforatble with and who will offer better after sales service.

RD is new in the market but i've heard the owner is agreat guy, its just that some of his dealers/customers are the bad a$$es which give RD a bad name.

If u're comfortable with the RD owner, by all means go with RD.

As for Atomic, i'm from across the ocean and had some problems. George had his Thai distributor settle my problem for me ASAP. no BS waiting and "i'll get back to you". it was immediately " oo no, ok, do this....".

as for the SH's being better than the APXXs, yes someone tested both the 15"s (15" SHW and 15" APXXs) and got i tink a 1.4dB gain.

BUT what is not known to most pple (i made a post on this) is that Atomic is working on some surprises and are improving the APXs and APXXs. my bet is to see their new line of APX15s and APXX18s and bench it with the SHWs.

So well, there u go.

hope this helps u decided. RD is definitely a great brand and not one to be messed with.

cheers

Interesting results on the Havoc Forum, I don't believe them at all. This new amp might be a few tenths louder at most, but not 1.3 db. I guess I'll have to buy one of these 5000.1's when I get the chance.
