The RCAs I got have a wire for the remote in between the left and right wires. Is this ok to use?
And to think, I always thought is was a remote wire (thats what the packaging said it was), but used it in the manner you describe to help reduce the possibilty of ground loop problems //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifAlthough that wire can be used as a remote on line its actual intended purpose is to connect the chassis of the amp to the chassis on the head unit in an effort to further reduce the possibility of noise, on some amps you will find a screw beside the inputs that seems to have no purpose this is the intended mounting location on the amp and anywhere on the chassis of the head unit. 99.9 percent of the time this is not necessary so you might as well use it as a remote wire.
