I'm going with

Premier Deh-p770mp head unit

1x JL Audio 10w7 sub

JL Audio 500/1 amp

How do you think this setup will sound in a mustang convertible? Also what door speakers/tweeters do you recommend to compliment this setup. I'm looking for a cheaper set that will still sound great. The door speakers/tweeters will be powered by a MTX thunder 404 amp.

For comps... anything that will be powerful enough to be heard well and clear over the wind are not going to be cheap. What's your price range?

you should go with a ported enclosure for the sub, to give yourself enough volume.

give the sub a loading board so even if the top comes down you still have some bass. as far as the fronts go depends on how you want to do it. kicks, no kicks, stock location? price of the speakers you would be willing to spend

Forgot to mention that I am very newbish at all this lol.

Ayways the car has the stock Mach 460 with what I think are 2x tweeters in the top front, 2x bass speakers in the low front, 2x rear speakers, and 2x bass rear speakers.

If that makes any sense lol.

The top stays up most of the time.

And I guess I'm willing to spend around $150?

Unfortunately I don't have the grand to drop on the 1000/1. That's why I went with the 500/1. Will I still get enough power using the 500/1? I listen to a lot of hip hop and overall jam music with good bass in a wide range of tones.
