After removing and selling all the audio gear from my 2002Silverado which I thought I was going to sell,I decided to keep the truck - its paid for:suave:

Im looking for SQL mainly - nice set up's that pound rock,punk and dance music.....

No rap here,but I do own a Jeezy CD,its great for dialing in your Subzzzzz:nerd:

FI Q 12 PORTED,the box should end up around 1.75-1.85CF tuned to 32hz,im working with the builder now...

Rumour has it these subs work really well ,I dont know much about these little web brands - but I never go mainstream if I dont have too,the reviews seem strong - any thoughts,im really not up to date on this stuff - does this sub have good SQ and get loud or is it all BS

eD 9.1 - that amp has served me well before.....

plus I like the warrenty

Pioneer 720s or DLS UP6s (Ebay) I am on the fence which way to go ,im worried the 50W ratings on the Pios will not live long - Why they would make a low powered flagship comp set is beyond me but the DLS's are solid performers,never ever hear and bad shit on them and the reviewed really well everywhere.

Diamond D5600.2 (150x2) on my shelf,I got it so might as well use it,underated by about 10-15%,very clean amps...

Excelon 889 HU on my shelf so Im gonna use it,I favor the Excelons...

I just got rid of my eD 9.1, I loved that amp. Worked well for me for a god 2 years without a single issue, I was able to get it warm one time with a bass mechanic CD and some test tones.

Its a little power hungry but its also underrated!

As for the Fi Q, I own an Fi BL , if the Q is anything like my BL, your going to love it, my single BL 10" gets as loud as some 12's I have had, and the SQ is not bad at all for an unSQ sub.

The Q is said to get loud and low and sound GREAT doing both, I doubt you will be dissapointed.

And the best decesion you made as far as your entire install goes...... is deciding to keep your paid for truck!

Didn't say it was crappy, but based on other equipment thats out there you have ALOT of room for improvement.

Good sub, you get 2/10 for that

Both sets lack a bit in midbass, compared to other sets I've used/heard. If you go with the DLS I can give you an extra 1.5 because of the fantastic tweeter, however you lose 1.0 because of purchasing from ebay - so either 3.0 or 3.5/10

Using this amp is probably fine so i can give you 1/10 plus anothe 1 because you're smart and not purchasin a new one before you test it out

Ebay is a great place to buy car audio....Why?

Because its obsolete in 1 years time and in 5 years of buying on Ebay I have NEVER had an issue......

You don't like eDs 9.1 so be it,mines been working 2 years trouble free.......The D5600.2,it works now I own it and ran it before....Excelons not only gave me zero trouble and I have owned 3 in 3 years and all were better sounding than teh Alpine and Pioneers I have owned even when I have done my own side by side comparisons - How? I bought 6 headunits last year and sent 5 back after testing them.....

Now your info on the comps was usefull,I will look into it and ask around if they all lack midbass......But I hear the 720s have gobs of it

Btw, the ebay stuff is a problem, you may have been happy with the products, however there are too many couterfits on ebay as well as un-authorized products.
