Rare 9000 series DD reconing and upgrading

Received my 9015 DD sub and realized it needs some fixing. The spider has some cracks from sitting around for 3 years. Feels quite brittle too. Not sure if I should have DD upgrade the woofer to more like the 3500 series. This is my first time sending in a woofer to get it repaired. Any suggestions for setup other then I know I need 4ohm DVC? Will be running a USA 2000 amp in a 4cube 37hz aeroport box looking for daily SQ.

those 9000 series subs are cool, one guy on our team, who is pretty ghetto had 2 9015s to go with his 3 9515s.... it was interesting

actually, with a DD woofer that would be right at a good SQ spot.

and tuning isn't the do-all and end-all in SQ, it'll sound fine.

Nah not to my ears. You will still lack that 28-30hz range

My alpine R with my current setup blasts the lows. Guess its because I have aero ports?

No I don't have pics of the spider. They are about an inch long directly in the middle of the spider going across about 3 or 4 of the ridges towards the center of the cone attachment. My box might be more like 36 but im not 100% sure.
