Ranger speaker sizes?

I wanna get my son some new door speakers for his 97 Ranger std. cab for his birthday. Anybody know what size they are?

i believe they are either 6.5 or 5.25....check out http://www.crutchfield.com to be sure....

Crutchfield's friggin lame. They list both 5-1/4 and 5X7's. Maybe it depends on the options the truck came with. I was hoping someone knew for sure.

5 x 7s and 6 x 8s

ford's stock speaker sizes are usually 5x7's sometimes 6x8's... I would get 5 1/4 components for him.... you can get a plate that replaces the 5x7 plate.. it is the same size plate as the 5x7's but it has a hole cut for 5 1/4.. good luck
