raised trucks...

The ONLY advantage for a lifted truck...is ariel traffic shots.

Nothin like down the blouse in traffic.

But, I'll still steal reflectors. I'll still light em up with the frame.

AND I'LL STILL GET BETTER GAS MILEAGE

(and never hydroplane)

What does hydroplaning have to do with a lifted truck? They hydroplane because the tread design or wider tires. I actually saw where a completely stock Honda Accord hydroplaned off of the road, but my F 250 with 6.5" of lift and 37's stayed on the road.

Accidents don't happen because a truck is lifted or lowered. They happen because people think they can drive their vehicle like it is stock after they have altered the suspension, ride height, tires, etc. There are going to be pro's and con's with anything you ever do, and you have to account for this and change your habits.

Hydroplaning happens because of the width of tires, the amount of airflow under a vehicle, and a few other things. Its WELL more likely to happen to a lifted truck on 14" wide tires than it is on that accord. I had a stock bmw that hydro'd very easily...until I changed the rear suspension and tires. Then it never did it again.

You cant fight physics with opinions.

Put 14" tires on that light bmw and see what happens. Weight matters too, which I guess can **** on the back of an unloaded truck too.

can't fight physics with...well whatever it is your fighting with

Werd, but Big Foot started it.
Big foot be givin us all a bad rep man

Charitable giving is an American tradition. Surveys consistently find that between 65 and 85 percent of U.S. families make charitable donations each year, and we give away more than twice as much per capita as the citizens of even the most generous European nations. According to the Center on Philanthropy Panel Study, the average American family that gave to charity in 2002 donated $1,917. And contrary to what some might assume, this giving does not all—or even mostly—support houses of worship.

Sure you guys donate a lot of money. And you go on to brag about how you are the greatest people on earth because of it. LOL.

Hydroplaning is caused by tires that don't allow water to escape from between the tire and the road. A car with good tires, and water passages won't hydroplane. But at the same time a lifted truck with 14" wide tires that has huge lugs to throw mud won't hydroplane either.

Another point is weight. A big truck weighs a lot more that a little car, therefor it resists sitting on top of water to hydroplane.

So we are conceited...but not selfish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Indeed. All this hate, and I've never even driven over a car before.
Same here, and to my credit, I've never run over a pedestrian yet either...they move too fast :/

I hit some kinda animal, and dragged it almost 2 miles. I got out the truck smelling steaks.
The next morning it looked like the forrest came for a visit and wanted to see what was under my truck. Was great.

LOL. I made some moose steaks with my buddy's Isuzu Rodeo last summer. That was an experience.

Come to think of it, if I were in my lifted truck it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. It would have saved me some whip lash. LOL.
