Decided to 'carpet' the box in a matte pvc/polyester cover that looks/feels kinda like rubberized leather instead of the usual fuzzy carpet. I like how it turned out...bought the stuff at joann's fabrics. May I never set foot in that ****ing place again...enough for the whole box and some extra cost ~26$
