From what I've been hearing they are great comps especially for the price. You can also take it to the next level and look into the Germs...a little more flow I suppose but they are suppossedly worth it....I'm going with the germ comps here in a few weeks..

+1 on the above comments. They have amazing detail and clarity at all volumes.

IMO, go for the germaniums. The tweets are larger and the crossovers are worlds better (read: massively tweakarific) than the SLC line. Haven't heard the SLC's so i can't comment on difference in sound, but the Germanium's tweets x-over is @ 2.2khz whereas the sound line is @ 3.8khz (germ's tweets go lower) and the germanium woofers also drop lower.
