Rainbow makes very nice sounding comps. I have not heard those but i have a set of the SLC comps and they sound excellent.

I'm running the higher line mids and tweets right now, and I love em.

The sac 265.25 set uses an aluminum tweeter, but it shouldn't be bright at all.....and if it is for your tastes, you can always EQ it down a little.

For the money, I'd definitely go with the set you're looking at.

Thanks. I know it's a little late, I kinda forgot I posted this one. I'm also looking at some Focal 136v components right now. if anyone has any feedback about those I would greatly appreciate it. Or if anyone has any comments on the Rainbows vs the Focals, that would be awesome too. I found a great deal on the Focals...$150 shipped including the custom made speaker brackets to get them into the front doors in my Caprice.

Focal tweeters are a love/hate decision...I wouldn't buy them without listening to a set first.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of Rainbow Germaniums in the next coupe weeks. I have heard the Focals and like mentioned above, they can be bright if not set correctly. I heard a set of K2P's that sounded pretty good.... but I prefer a silk tweeter myself.

So I just ended up getting the Focal 136v component speakers. Hopefully I'll like them. If not, I guess it's on to something else. I also put some Polk db651 coax speakers in my Jimmy's doors and some Alpine 4x6s in the dash. Something a little cheaper for my daily driver. Sounds decent, but definitely isn't giving me the sound I was hoping for. I've got a 300hz crossover for the Alpines and I'm using the built in high pass filter on my Alpine CDA 9853 for the door speakers.
