Rainbow Germs Installed Today!

How much Power are youall givin the Germanium?

Im think of picking up a pair in the next week here.

Im gonna get everything then take it to the local shop and have it installed and configured.

I already have a avic-d2 installed.

How do you feel about your stage height where the tweeter is mounted. I have considered mounting my tweeter in about that same position, however, I am afraid the height won't be where I want. I have considered the kicks but since people ride in my car, girls and dumb guys will kick/stomp the shit out of them.

Would you mount the in the A-pillar if no additional fabrication was needed?

Sending 150W a ch...

Tweets do need moving from stock location on my 2005 F150, The way I drive with left arm at 9:00 O'clock on the wheel... I'm blocking sound from tweeter on drivers side... I'm looking at "A" pillows this spring... when it warms up...

Are all of you mounting them on 3/4" mdf baffles.

or just using sound deadner?

im gonna get the dynamat speaker kit installed when I get them installed at the local shop.

i was wonder if i sould also do the 3/4 baffles, depending on how much room there is in the acura cl

In theory i'm sending mine 320w/side but i'm sparing with the gain. I think 200w/side is about right for the germs. I didn't use an MDF baffle for mine, but my entire doors vibrate so badly with the germs installed that i'm planning on going back to do it. If i were in your position, i'd do it right the first time.

I would deaden the **** out of the entire door if i were you. It's rather surprising how much the Germaniums manage to vibrate the entire front of my car - even my ****ing electric seat controls cover buzzes against the buttons when a certain midbass freq is played at higher volumes. boooowwrraaBZZTaaaarrrooowww...BZZZT! ****ing buzzing is driving me crazy, i need a car that's made out of molded second skin

I hear the Germs or any Rainbow component line has very strong mid-bass. I currently have woofer mounted in the doors and tweets in the kicks. I'm very sensitive to high frequencies, I prefer a more laid back sound. Which is why I'm considering the Germs or Iridiums.
