Just installed some Rainbow CAL25's and they got pretty **** loud and played clean. A little too bright for my tastes, so probably perfect for what you're looking for...
Well....here is a list of what I have used and my "review"
Aura- Seemed to be very bright and loud
Alpine Type R- another bright silk dome. I never could get them toned down to my liking.
Alpine Type X- still a little bright for my taste but not as bad as the type r's. Realistic sounding
Dynaudio MD100- Probably the best sounding silk dome I've had.
Canton Pullman metal dome- Definately my favorite //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif metal domes can sometimes be harsh but I absolutely love these things. They are the most realistic tweets I have ever used.
Kicker SS- I'd say these were a fairly smooth tweet. I'd probably put them somewhere between the Dyn's and the Type X
Cal27 get extremely loud and still stays very composed. Sounds very good at high volume levels. The Type-X tweeters or the XT-19 I would not call loud. I would not even say they have extreme volume level like the Cal25or Cal27. The diamond's can play quit loud and still keep their composure. MBQ also have this ability. The MBQ and Diamonds can be fatiguing at these volume levels in my experience with them.
Beyma tweeters are pretty loud but nice sound quality. Check out the ht 45s (silk dome) or the ast-09. They are kind of pricey but you could probaly find them on the internet for 100 for the ht45s and 150 for the ast-09.
You can find the Diamonds on ebay. The XT-19 no unless you find some Type-x as a split set. Not going to find any of the Rainbow Cal tweeters on ebay. Couple dealers on here though. Do a search for Rainbow on here and you will see who they are. Here are two if I got their screen names correctly spelled out.
You can search the members list these are pretty close to correct.
Hey, if your talking about not finding the beymas then the auctions probaly ended since they were on there yesterday. Check in a few days or go to some of the other links users have posted.
