Rainbow components.

I would HIGHLY recommend those, they can take massive amounts of clean power and they have some good thump to them

The tweets are non fatiguing and very detailed!

Rainbows, meh. Also, don't waste your money on this "rear stage" crap. You don't need it.

What got you so bent on rainbow?

I would take that cash for the "rear stage" and throw it in with the amp money, get a Zapco reference or DC series maybe. This amp will work great on the CX62's http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5450 but if you want you can find something that puts out like 250+ those mids will do fine. And if you decide to run active, you can get another small amp for the tweets. But this amp has all the processing you will ever need, built in, it's a great line of amps. Basically they all have a DSP6 built in, go look at the cost of a DSP6 by itself...

Also, I wouldn't buy a pre-amp, get a deck that will run active and has some tuning capabilities, Pioneer 800 or 880 are the best bang for the buck, but I would go with a Eclipse 7100 or 7200 if you have the cashola.

I'm with the others saying drop the rear stage. Ditch the rears, bridge the amp to a pair of germaniums or profi's. ...Ditch the pre-amp and use that cash towards going higher in the rainbow line. You could be in vanadium range -- almost to power line cs range with the amount of $$ you just linked to.

Hope you're not actually planning on ordering all of that from woofersetc...

I had the previous version of Rainbows SLC 365s back in 2006. They sounded great. it is my personel preference but I would dump the rear fill and bridge that amp. Will have lots of clean power for your components then. Also can you fit the 6.5" versions up front? If you can do that it would give better midbass.

I also have used Rainbow product before, and although I was impressed the Germaniums and Profi....I wasnt too impressed with the SAC and SLC lines....there is better for the price....
Ah, the mysterious "there is better for the price post."

Those SLC's that you are looking at are pretty dam good. The crossovers are very flexible and they come with some nice tweets.

When soemone says they have heard the SLC's it might be a good idea to find out which version they heard, because the ones you are looking at have the improvements mentioned above.

Having said that, I agree with the others -- don't waste your money on the rear comps. Spend it all up front.

And don't buy from that site -- contact Don on this forum. You will actually get a warranty from the MFTR.

Man that zapco is sexy.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I would do the CX62's but i cannot fit 6.5's on the front, ok i will ditch the rear stage, and now i have to since my 18 btl is going on my back seats lol.

I already have a 10 volt line driver anyways with a nice built in eq(mmats eq mp5)

so this will make a sweet combo?

Hey man! I'm running a set of the Profi Vanadium Kick mids with the CAL27 tweeters in an active setup(although one CAL27 crapped out on me, so I've got a CAL25 titan in it's place for the moment).
I'd be happy to meet up with you and give you a demo sometime, so you could get a better idea. I'm in South Orange County, around San Luis Obispo.

Shouldn't be a problem, they'll be going into my Titan. I'll hack, slash, cut, form, mod, do whatever the hell it takes to get them in there. Not an unsimilar path that you had to take. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

im in stockton man thats to far from orange county:crap:

If I were you I wouldnt get that system. Your putting too much money in the rear stage of your system, and your overpaying for all of your equipment. And you did not mention any single sub or head unit?

Get a good pair of comps, sell the crossovers, go active....its what I would do.
