is it just plug and play? or should i get an equalizer? or do rack/power amplifiers not for car subwoofers? most i see run subwoofers not specifically from cars. yes i know the ohm load must match i was planning on running a 2000 watt crown on a cerwin vega 15 bridged at 4 ohm getting 1950 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The old CE 2000 is a heckuva workhorse and does rated, like all Crown amps. I assume you are looking at a new Behringer EP2000?..The EP2000 is overrated by a little bit, you might get 1500 to 1750 bridged mono, which is still a dang good deal for $300 bucks. If you are buying new, the Behringer EPQ2000 is the same price. What are you going to use for an input interface?

I use this: QSC RMX 2450 Power Amplifier at zZounds

on one of these: Yamaha SW218V | Sweetwater.com

and tie in my computer, dvd, tv, Bass Guitar,Acoustic guitar, a Microphone, or whatever with one of these:Behringer XENYX 1202FX Mixer at zZounds

I also run a Mackie 1400i on my mids and Highs (Peavey 215 towers)

lol...and everybody that walks in the house loves the sound and the feel.

ps Zzounds will let you pay as you play, another words, they split the payments 4 ways and draft your bank acct in four monthly installments with no credit check and the service is excellent.

I guess I still didn't help your question...but yes, you can buy adapters for cheap to adapt whatever output you have on the amp to regular stripped wire +/- connections. My amps both have 1/4' TRS plug , Nutrik quick connects and bare wire/banana plug binding posts(L +/- & R +/-) on mine I have to use the L+ and R- binding posts for bridged mono output.

so you basically use a mixer as an equalizer? im new into this power amplifier thing, and just want to have a crazy house system. lol i was just going to have a rca to 3.5mm and plug the amp right into my computer with a cable splitter to my z-5500 and just find a equalizer program online but im guessing thats not a good idea. the amp im trying to buy (300$ for the ce2000 if it doesnt sell on craigslist) has normal red and black from what i see? i was planning to bridge at 8/4 ohm im not really sure if my vegas a d2 or d4 i dont have a very good ohm meter, so you would recommend the behringer 2000? that if i cant get my hand on the crown. which im trying my hardest to sell my other audio because i really want it :OOO
