Race car look = Rice?

so was i.....
its quite obvious if u put bigger rims on a car its gona raise ride height. Therefore if u just put say some 17's on an integrea without lowering it the cars gona be lookin like a 4x4.
No, it won't raise ride height unless you put the wrong size tires on the rims. The outer diameter of the tire should remain the same, or you will find that your speedometer and odometer will be worthless.

See lol i kinda wanna do a all show no go unfortunatly... theres too many fast cars out there, and plus i got 400 pounds of **** sub and amp in my car... My cars gonna be slow even with 220hp...

Or i was thinking of going the complete shave... but too many people do that...

I kinda wanna do the rally look, just cause i like it, theres more to look at on the car you know? Instead of seeing a car shaved, its like hmm its orange and shaved and lowered, cool...

Or its like man this things cool, its got 3 different colors, nice rims, decals and logos, just more to look at you know?

I dunno.. I just like the look of the grandtourismo style race cars..

Go for the super-crazy drag look. Shave every hole on that body (except for cracks seperating your door from the rest of your body), and only have your headlights showing in the front. And if you want to spend hours and hours on your car, go super crazy and make the hood, fenders, and front bumper all one piece and have it so you have to use a wrench just to "pop the hood." BTW, I'm not 100% sure on what the "sleeper look" is, someone wanna let me in on the secret?

I thought that might be it (seriously) but I didnt wanna open up my mouth and make a retard out of myself (anymore then I already have).

Dont you guys think it would be interesting though to see a car that looks like it holds 500 horse and does the quarter mile, EVERY WEEKEND lol... I thought it would be amusing.

Where did they come up with the word sleeper? I mean, i understand that a rice rocket is a fast asian car, a ricer being an asian car that is meant to look fast, pocket rocket...etc..etc... but where would they come up with the word sleeper for a stock looking super car?

tires do get skinnier yes, but ride height does raise a bit yes. And it does LOOK higher as well cuz of the lower profile tires. Even if techincally the ride height doesnt raise much it will still LOOK higher. Im not talking outa my ***.....i just happen to be into bimmers and kno a bit about em and other cars. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smokin.gif.f1dc8d2acb1809e863ebd6a47eaa0d45.gif

Because most of the time, it's a sleeping bear. Oh, sure, it looks harmless on the outside, but once it wakes up... you better run like a mofo.

As for seeing a car that looks like it holds 500 horses and does the 1/4 every weekend... there are plenty of cars around here that look like that.. mostly old 5.0 Mustangs with mean-sounding exhaust and cowl hoods. The cars that do have 500hp more often than not do look close to stock, because body kits, rims, etc add weight, which is not conductive to going fast.

Awalbert that isnt always true! Some wheels (tire+rim) that are not stock, are lighter. Then there are other body parts (hoods, fenders, trunk lids, etc..) and what not that do not add weight, but reduce weight instead. They may look ricey but some of this stuff works...

Oh, I know there are wheels that are lighter, but the vast majority of aftermarket wheels that you see people put on cars are heavier than stock. And yes there are carbon fiber body parts that will reduce weight, but again those are pretty unusual to see on cars.

If you're going to the trouble of reducing weight for performance, why not upgrade the engine/suspension as well? I just don't see the point of making a car look faster if you're not going to make it actually be faster.

Thats true that if your going to put sponser stickers (which quite a few "ricers" dont have) and stuff like a wing and that then why not upgrade your cars performance. BUT if you like certain things on your car, why change them, however weight is a good thing to get rid of if your trying to go a bit faster.... even if your engine isnt the greatest.

sheding a lil bit weight off is always good on a number of things, but shedding in the wrong places might have dire consequences towards handling.

Anyhow, the only FWD cars that I say are really impressive are BTCC cars.. touring cars, whoa, they gobble up virtually everything...

I personally think a clean, shaved car with nice paint is the best you can possibly do. Adding a lot of gawdy stickers and multicolored paint and everything is flat out ugly and in bad taste IMO. What looks better, a nice white t-shirt, some blue jeans, and some white shoes, or a bright red shirt with some yellow all over it, some white pants, and some brown boots. It's just a matter of style and taste, heck some people might sport that later outfit and think it looks great, but its just not my tastes. Thats just me though, do whatever YOU like and to hell with everyone else IMO. But like I said, me personally, leave that stuff to the real rally cars, they put that stuff on there because they HAVE to due to sponsorship and advertisement. You're car isn't a rally car, you aren't sponsored, basically I look at it like you're trying to make your car look like something it's not, and when has trying to imitate and replicate something every been a good thing.

BTW: Not sure about your town, but welcome to 90% of the country. Every since Fast & Furious everyone has taken their car, whether import or domestic, and added stickers and vinyl and everything on there.
