R/C Car Hobby

Before I got into car audio, I was big into R/C cars (yes, I am an electronics dork) and I'm looking to be back into the hobby. I have a T-Maxx still that I have never used, and am in the process of rebuilding it. Anyone else have any cars or trucks, especially nitro powered vehicles? If so, post pics. Also, what led you into this hobby...my dad used to race R/Cs when I was young...thats my excuse. For those of you who are not familiar, nitro vehicles are badass.

Had a nitro truck, a few wrecks and spun gears later it got gifted to a friend...haha

I have a Nitro OB4,Traxxs Tmax2.5,2 electric cars(not the walmart BS),and an airplane.

You have to have them set just right.Or buy the aluminuim ones

A few years back, I used to do the whole R/C cars, races...and boy was it expensive, lol.

I used to have a Losi XXX-T, and an HPI street car.

i use to be in it a little my brother has like 6 just laying there. he uses one and that it breaks than goes to the next and keeps going until they all break than he fixes than him. They are all upgraded and everything never understood putting money into those things haha.

Those HPI's are bad ***.I have the OB4 which is Offna's version.But my friend had that one and I always liked it.It was gear driven rater then belt.As well as AWD.

Definitely expensive. When I used to race, I had a Losi XXX-S and I had to have sank over 1k on that thing.

My favorite one I ever had was an HPI...the original RS4.

I've never actually seen the drag cars in action, how fast do they run? Like 0-60 in 2 sec?

I had a T-Maxx, RS4, RC10GT and a Mini-T. In the process of getting rid of the rest of my great shortly as I just lost interest and I prefer investing my # in CA instead of RC's for the time being as I don't have the time or money for both.

Not sure if you have ever been but http://www.rcnitrotalk.com is a really good laid back RC forum, similar to here but not as many retards running around.
