Nothing can justify slavery but there are a few points that he makes that have some meaning.

1) Black People are better off in American than if they had been left in Africa. Why do you think there aren't alot of takers on the whole "Go back to Africa" thing.

1a) White people have to understand that a large portion of the southern infrastructure and farming was done by blacks. It's a big reason why the rest of the country could focus on the industrial revolution as we alwasy had excess quantity in food production.

2) "Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America’s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?"

No and No

3) The people in the neighborhood make it a ghetto... Case in point, a local city put up brand new project housing about 5 years ago. The quality of construction and looks were the equivalanet of 200k condos going up in nicer neighborhoods. Today if you drive by it, the building is disgustingly dirty and the people have trashed the inside.

The place doesn't create the problems it is the people. Another example a local smaller suburb locally, which was a nice place to live, had recently become engulfed with illegals from Mexi and Cuba streaming in through Miami. These people were seeking a better life but instead brought their problems with them. Their kids rob and kill for fun and now a nice town (which was mostly white) is now a slum in a little under 4-5 years.

2) dont fall for stupid shit you see on TV. they show one "act of kindness" on TV to help their image. do you see Bill Gates trying to get publicity every time he donates?

Without said publicity and tax advantages, they wouldn't donate at all. Andrew Carnegie wrote extensively on this around the time of the creation of the income tax. When Congress experimented with removing the tax advantage for donations, they withered greatly.

So, George, which do your perfer donations, or none.

Correct, actually, if we gave more ****, we wouldn't donate at all. Our donations actually ruin the infrastructure of much of Africa. Wal-Mart could not compete there....why? Because of our excess spending winds up in boxes of clothes over there for free. There is no domestic economy because things that are required currently do not exist because they are given to them via donations. There is no ability for these people to set up shops...they simply cannot compete with a box of goods arriving from the salvation army.

1) wow you are an ignorant son of a ***** eh? stop robbing and shooting? you really think its that easy? these people live in the ****ing slums. cant afford housing, running water, transportation to work, clothes for work, nothing. so you're saying if you had to support and feed you're family you wouldn't rob or sell dope? these people have no ****ing options, and it just so happens to be that they're surrounded by others of their kind (which happens to be black in these neighborhoods) so when the shit hits the fan its gonna be another "black on black" crime.

I am sure you are not familair with the plight of the farming class before the Great Depression. They did not have any of the ammenities you speak of and did not resort to robbing/killing/stealing/selling dope. My grandmother told me of stories where they did not get to eat every day because there was no food. Even if you were wealthy in her community, there was no food. But they didn't go around like a bunch of barbarians trying to feed themselves. The house my father grew up in did not have running water.

Would you justify **** if you were ugly, surrounded by rapists, and could get any? There is no time in which robbery and murder are justified...I can't believe you are advocating murder. Would you set a man free if his excuse for robbing and killing your mother was because he was poor?

The larger issue is people are actually able to see the income inequality and think that robbing and stealing are justifications for making things "more equal"...

again, you missed the point. you suggested that people actually cared when you said "people of all colors" are donating. you were the one who brought it up. not me. why the **** did you think i even went with a big bs post about it in the first place?

I have been in the same boat and I did not chose robbing and stealing. I did chose to borrow a lot of money in hopes my education would set me free.

I would feel better about it if the theives were in abject poverty rather than opportunists.
