"...to create better air-flow"

idk man, when i had my 6x9 on the rear deck with the sub, the pressure made the 6x9's buttom out like CRAZY, so i took them off.... and sound much better.

Yeah, it really can make a difference. It depends though.
I never realized how great it is to have fold-down rear seats until I got my first real system in.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif d*mn you lucky, I want foldable rear seats:crap:

Yeah, I love it. I usually leave em up though, because it sounds better and doesn't overpower the front stage and all, but I'll fold em down on the highway or when I just want it loud.

After having them, it's a selling point on a car for me now.

I never fold mine down, mainly because I'm lazy. I also have stuff in the back seat too. That's now my "storage area". My backpack, tennis shoes, pants, etc all go there.

I removed my rear speakers after wrecking the second set with the hp x-over at 220hz. There was too much pressure in the trunk for them. And it seemed to eliminate some of my rattles.

But now the rear windshield/mouldings are causing havoc.
