im glad you love JL. It's a quality brand that may be typically over priced and hyped up, but a quality product none the less....

But just to stay on topic, the only thing that JL has in its lineup that is ridiculously overpriced and undervalued is the W7. Their components are great, their amps are great, and their other subs are great. The W7 produces great sound, but doesn't justify it's cost at all. Their prefab boxes are a bit overpriced too. All of their other stuff seems reasonably priced to me.

Yes, the US is slowly giving in to the Chinese market and letting them make our products. I am not knocking Chinese products but am getting bored with seeing made in China every time I buy something. When it comes to car audio, you have to do your research, and make a decision based upon what you like to hear based upon in-car listening, display comparison, reviews from pros, and your personal taste. To give a better direction on this perfect example Rich B's research. I will comment only on my opinion and mine only. Everyone else will have a different one, I'm sure. As far as Subwoofers go If you want an SQL, or SPL sub, I have some bad news... it depends on the Subwoofer, enclosure setup, and the power needed for the sub. If I were to make a quick decision based upon what I have have heard personally, I would say a few brands, but may miss a few. Its kind of like driving a car, Nobody has driven every brand and model of car. My choice for SQL based upon research is JL, Focal, and some subs that are not even listed. Elemental Designs, TC Sounds, Tang Band, Sound Splinter, Dayton, and others that I have not heard yet. SPL, I would choose Digital Designs, JL, RE Audio, Treo, and I'm sure a few more you can add. As far as amplifiers, I would choose JL, Audison, Focal, McIntosh, Tru, US Amps, and a few others that I'm sure I missed. For mids and highs, I would choose IMO only Focal K2P series, but this debate can go on forever with brands like Polk SR6500, Mb Quart, SEAS Lotus, JL ZR series, now being replaced by another 2008 series, Hertz (who is new, but someone to look for in the SQL Cars. Remember this is my opinion, I have been into, installed, heard and researched for 13 years, and can tell you a biased opinion about most brands. From what I've experienced, I replaced my Phoenix Gold Titanium elite 6 Components with Focal K2P KF and the only difference I noticed is that the Focal K2s where WAY more acurate in sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif while the Ti Elite 6 where louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and not bad sounding at all, besides the Ti Elites handled 75 watts RMS more than the Focals K2.

How do the JBL Components compare to Focal's K2P? What is the difference inn sound?
