I can't help but notice people make faces and say things behind their backs when they come upon a JL system, or someone trying to put one together, specifically the W7.

Now, I'm not a JL person myself but they do make some good stuff, albeit not much of a value. I suppose those that know the car audio world are just imagining what else could be bought for the same amount of dough? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Or is it some kind of "fanboy" thing?

I laugh at people rockin JL stuff only when they are being cocky, like TYPICAL jl owners. Most people are like ''DOOD I GOT THE DUBB7 ITS DA BEST SUB EVARR" and thats what makes me laugh at JL owners, only when the'yre being cocky about it. Otherwise I like JL and don't care what people spend their money on.

x2

Cousin was trying to tell me his 13W7 would get louder than any DD, any amount. I was trying to tell him there are good yes but not the best, but he wouldn't have it, there the best EVER!

The other day I compared a JL Audio 6x9 to an Infinity Perfect6.1 6.5" because I read good reviews about the 6x9. The 6x9 was very loud with great clarity but the instruments sound separated like the music as a whole didn't go together. The Perfect6.1 had a more realistic sound.

i'm not real sure that JL is focussing much on 6 x 9's

you also tested and compared speakers that are not even the same size.

ya im pretty sure that voids ur final conclusion. there going to sound diferent.. im guessin the 6.5's sounded better tha the 6x9's right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you're building a JL system and you're not trying to play it off as ''I buy JL because it's the best", then cool shit props to you. It just seems that JL is the flagship brand of mainstream audio so everyone thinks that the W7 and 1000/1 is the best shit available.
