i am still curious why you don't just do a box for the 4 R's...like a walled 4th order band pass like twistedchild420 as an example.

in a van?

hmmm. some dude who didnt put any engineering in his subwoofer vs the company that invented the subwoofer.... I wonder which one is better??

Alpine invented the subwoofer?

4 r 15 definately can get loud. I sat in a 151 car last week with just a pair, 4 should do pretty nice.

the way i see it if i dont like them i re sale all my **** on cl and ill pull easy 2-3 each 2 subs on cl so it dosent matter ..i wanted to not care about peoples opinions an try them myself.

it ain't the money..we all waste that...You were not happy with the type R's in a box that looked like it was ill designed to begin with, judging by the box and port placement in the vid you have on youtube....I just hate when ppl declare one sub is not a good performer, when they did not even give the sub a proper chance to perform. It leads folks to thinking one sub is no good, just due to the ignorance of the person who did a crappy job of installing it.

put the new subs in a crappy box like you have now and they won't do good either

yea no argument there im not saying the type rs are bad i just figured the more cone area the better even if the subs are entry level..

i bought the alpines like that in that box..im still gonna have them on the side so maybe ill just put them in a good enclosure an have couple diff set ups.
