Hi
I just got home from getting my car serviced and while there they said that my battery needed to be replaced. I just have some regular True Start battery or something (it came with the car). I know that this type of battery is not ideal for car audio, but I'm only pushing 1,000 RMS at the MAX, probably more around 800 or so.
At night with my headlights on and my A/C on I don't have dimming.
Is my battery just old or am I pulling too much current? Would another regular car battery be good or should I get a red top or something?
Thanks.
Oh yeah the guy there said that I should get a cap when I told him I had some car audio in there, this is where I lost a little faith in the shop.
Edit: They printed me off this report here is the information:
Voltage: 13.01
Measured: 454 CCA
Rated: 530 CCA
Temperature: 160 F
Edit #2: What should a battery voltage be?
