quick helpt while im out in the driveway

i got it back to sounding how it did before...maybe when everythings hooked up i dont hear that tiny distortion, ill have to fix it at a later time...

so then i go to wire everything back up...and guess what...no bass!!

well...no sub output...i hook them up to one of my front channels and they play fine...im guessing somewhere today somehow my sub outputs got fried....theres $300 something down the drain...

i put my DMM on AC and am getting zero output out of the sub channels...what possibly could have happened?

today i was setting it up and it was working fine...disconnected everything, and went to plug everything back in with solid connections (speaker wires, not RCAs) and this happened?

that doesnt make sense

no, each time i changed connections id turn the car off

measured today with a 50htz tone and a DMM....sub output is 0 volts

Turn off the system and pull the RCAs going to the HU amp. Make sure they are isolated and put the DMM on one of them with the 50hz playing.

This will tell you if the HU is sending a signal.

pull the sub RCA and play the tone...put a DMM on one of them...alright BRB....

voltage here would mean that the AMP is getting signal but not outputting correct?

To an extent. It at least tells you the HU is sending voltage over the RCAs, but the RCA/HU could still be at fault. You should also connect an external device (mp3/ipod) to the sub amp and see if it plays anything. If it doesn't, that rules out the HU/RCA.
