ok i just ran into a problem that i need a quick answer for the 15 im making a sealled box for it reccomends 1.25 cf, but im going to do 1.5, but anyways how much clearance do you need behind the magnet, i've never ran into this problem but i was going to do a 17 by 17 by 9, but that only leaves half an inch behind the driver, should i just try making a 16.5 by 16.5 by 9.5 opening an inch behind the driver?

edit: this is internal measuments, mdf calc not into it

Rule of thumb is that the sub should be at least the diameter of the pole vent away from the back wall ...

If no vent, then just dont let them smack against the wall.

yea its pole vented so ill build one with the inernals of 16.5 x 16.5 x 9.5 that should give a little over an inch of space behind it

You could make a mounting ring, bringing the sub out another 3/4''. Unless you already doubled up on the baffle, If not then you could do that as another option.
