quick help plz!!!

hey guys quick question im building a sub box and was told by some one that the back of the sub has to be on a angle or the fron has to be slanter/ angled because if its straight up and down it doesnt have good sound? is this true thanks jeremy

aright cool thanks ya i got most of the box together now just gotta piut the front on! it shoudl be around 2.6 cubic feet at about 32-33 hertz so its pretty cool just debating if i should carpet it or not
