On my way out of town...may need to pick up a new HU if need be.

So, was setting gain on my 4 channel, and bounced an RCA off the exposed fuse on my Rockford amp. Ever since, i have serious distortion and alternator whine thru front stage. Thought it could've shorted the RCA so i switched them, same isssue.

I have 3 preamps on my Kenwood,1 sub,1 front,1 rear. When I unplug the sub out RCA from HU ,no distortion. I switched the front end RCA and sub preout, same issue. I thought i could've done something to my Rockford bass amp, but i unplugged the power to the Rockford amp and ran the same test, with same problem.

Whats this sound like? Did i ruin my Kenwood? No big deal, ill buy a new one. But im hoping its not one of my amps. Thanks all

Oh and let me add, no whine or noise thru the woofer. Only thru the front stage while i have all the RCA s connected to my HU. Again, when I unplug the sub out RCA, it goes away

Yeah, that's the case. I had a buddy let me throw his in to test. If anybody has info or a link for RCA repair, that'd be awesome.
