quick fuse question

Hey,

I just received an ANL fuse holder from Knu, and didnt realize that the default that comes with it is a 60 A fuse. I was just wondering if someone could guide me in the right direction on which ANL fuse to pick up or will my 60A do.

I got 1/0 wire running to a distro block, with 4 guage outputs going straight to a SAE-1000D sundown amp pushing a 15" Fi Q and a small (100 watt per channel) 2 channel Digital Designs amp pushing my fronts

Remember, the fuse isnt there to protect your amps...it's there to protect the wire, you, and your car if it shorts out. But I'd slap a 150 amp fuse in and call it a day.

That sucks, dude. You should've paid more attention when you were buying it. It has a little drop down menu that lets you choose the fuse size.

But, either 150 or 300 amp would be good for 1/0

(I think it's 300Amp. It's the biggest fuse Knu sells... but it's different for 4-gauge wires, if you're gunna fuse those)

ahhh man shit... yea i know i shoulda paid more attention, but I'm retarded.

Would it be ok temporarily to run 60? or should I go out and buy a 150 before hooking this shit up?

thanks for the replies though

200 is a little high for 4 guage. Especially on a 15+ foot run.

It's not going to hurt anything if you run a 60. The fuse will just pop on you very quickly. Check with local audio stores. They probably have 150-200A fuses in stock.
