na, i understand, id be the same if i were you

im exactly like that when ppl ask repetitively the same questions on the car forums. its frustrating.

i just wasnt searching correctly

thnx for the input tho

If you wanted a 2 ohm final load from a pair of subwoofers, you'd need two 4 ohm loads wired in parallel or two 1 ohm loads wired in series ...
Your options would be:

Two DVC 8 ohm subs (Parallel-Parallel)

Two SVC 4 ohm subs (Parallel)

Two DVC 2 ohm subs (Series-Parallel or Parallel-Series)

Two SVC 1 ohm subs (Series)

Two DVC 0.5 ohm subs (Series-Series) (Don't exist to my knowledge, though)
wtf is series-series, or is that what u mean...not sure if u meant if its possible or it doesnt even have a chance of being a reality

well in this case...

should i run 2 dual 4's for 1ohm

or 2 dual 2's for 2ohm.

i know 2ohm would be 'safer' persay, but what would you opt for?

2 12" se's or 2 130v.2's ran most likely through a nine.1 or a hifonics 1500d( yea, yea i know about their quality, but its all i can afford in my price range)... is what im debating

is running 1ohm going to be at more of a risk?

You want a final impedance that will get the maximum output from your amplifier. It would **** to pay for a 1000 watt amp but only get 500 watts out of it due to not wiring your subs to the amp's lowest impedance.

So to answer your question, it depends on the amplifier being used.
