Quick dumb question

Ive always kinda noticed my SX seemed to not move much more upward then it did downward, i decided to switch the + and - on my amp today and it got a lot louder... then i pulled the sub out, checked my wiring, and it was fine the first time. how come its louder when its out of phase?

alright i wasent sure if my amp was switched up internally or a mistake was made there of some sort. thanks.

maybe u had it outta phase before and when u switched it around u put them in correct config.

o yea i forgot about that control. it says 0 on one side then the other side says 180. what should it be on?

alright, i think i just set it to the middle. thats probably why, ill play with it later. thanks guys

no no no, to set that properly you need two people if you are using the ear method (its really hard to tell as it mainly effects time delay) but one in the drivers seat with the stereo cranked and the other rides the control 0-180 until the driver says it sounds the best, 9/10 times you wont notice
