Quick Component installation question

It's been a while since I've done anything car audio related and even then I only had basic knowledge so I have a quick question.

I bought some CDT components a couple years ago with plans of using them at some point but theyre still in the box. I want to put them in my winter car('99 chevy express conversion) but don't have an aftermarket HU or any amps, so the question is can I run these straight off the HU with the crossovers and everything?

Yes. Speaker wires into the crossover input, woofer wires to the corresponding woofer + and - and same thing for the tweeters. They will be severely under powered, but Im sure your aware that if they arent clipped they will be fine.

At some point I will redo it all, but I think my 4ch amp is fried and I just got laid off so I won't have money for new equipment for a few weeks

Im willing to bet running the comps off of a good HU will sound better than running them from a cheap LOC.
